From fancy cars and expensive clothes to fine dining and exotic vacations, there are many ways you can spend your hard-earned dollars. And there is nothing wrong with rewarding yourself for a job well done -- but what would happen if you rewarded someone else instead? JDi Data is continuing our commitment to  continuously thinking of others with our  12 months of Giving blog series.

This months featured charity is the: American Foundation for Suicide Prevention

The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) is the leading national not-for-profit organization exclusively dedicated to understanding and preventing suicide through research, education and advocacy, and to reaching out to people with mental disorders and those impacted by suicide.

This charity was chosen by JDi Data's Marketing Manager Christina Duren who will be participating in the Miami-Dade County 'Out of the Darkness' walk on October 27th - http://afsp.donordrive.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=donorDrive.event&eventID=2393

The Out of the Darkness Community Walks are 3-5 mile walks taking place in hundreds of communities across the country this year, with the proceeds benefiting the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP). By walking in the Out of the Darkness Community Walks, participants raise money for AFSP's vital research and education programs to prevent suicide and save lives, increase national awareness about depression and suicide, and provide support for survivors of suicide loss.

There are several ways you can make a donation:
